We live in very scary times.
Where the monsters no longer hide. They sit front and center smiles full of pride. While we are forced to jump through hoops searching for an ounce of truth.
It scares me to watch the news.
To see those creatures beckoning, their teeth are sharp and their eyes gleam. Their smiles their words are razor sharp they infect the mind and pierce the heart. I try to pretend I cannot see and so I shut off the tv.
I wish they would go away.
Was there ever in fact a simpler time when monsters reside only in our minds? How did we manage to come so far when the scary clowns pile out of the car? They juggle are homes, our jobs, our checks while they continue to place bets…
Do they have an Achilles heel?
Is there some sort of kryptonite, to weaken their power and end our fright? Something to aid us in our fight as they flip flop between wrong and right?
Have we reached the bitter end?
This is only the sad beginning. I cannot tell you who will be winning but I can tell you who will lose. It does not matter who you chose. The monsters will continue to infect and we will watch the growing debt as we sit in front of our TV set and wonder
