The weekend is always so fleeting. I have always said that my favorite part of the weekend is Friday afternoon as I head to my car after work. At that magical time, the whole weekend is spread out before me. In contrast, by Sunday evening, the realization that the new work week is merely hours away can be very disheartening to many.
I know that I am very blessed. There are many people who have no where to go and would love the opportunity for steady employment. However, that knowledge does not make me wish any less for just one more day of open possibilities.

Today, I came to a local chain coffee shop with the intention of catching up on my Camp NaNo project (which had fallen to the wayside when I became ill this month). As I sat here I felt overcome with the feeling of stress as I wonder what would be the best use of my remaining weekend hours. Cruising through some of my favorite sites for submission requests, I decided that the best thing for me to do is work on pieces for submission and to plan out which requests I would like to consider.
All this in mind, I came to a decision. Sundays, I will write. Short stories, blogs, novellas, novels. I may write every day throughout the week but I will also be saving a chunk of time on Sundays to write.
What about you? Do you have a set time to write? Any type of writing schedule? Let me know in the comments your thoughts. Would be glad to see how other writers juggle, work, family, commitments with writing.
Happy Reading!
