On my Facebook author page, I wrote a post about my last minute push to complete a story in time for submission (post can be found here). That short story was published as “Double Trouble” (I HATE that title) in the anthology Grey Matter Monster. Below is a teaser from my short story.
This is not the first time that the foul smelling creature has appeared in my life. Large and grey with enormous hands, he is extremely intimidating. A thick mass of hair covers his body and slobber drips from his snout. The sound of his breathing reveals his presence. Scared for my life, I hide under the blanket, but there is no denying the sound of his footsteps as he ambles to the bed….
Reluctantly, I pull down the blanket. The corners of his mouth pull into a wicked grin, and gestures towards the wall. No, I do not want to see…
