Restaurants made announcements and offered meals to be taken out. All the while cell lines were clogged as concerned family members began trying to call loved ones, friends, or in some cases that person he/she would see on special occasions.
The rich had customized homes that with a push of a button became an impenatrble forcefield. The less affluent had steel reinforced roofs and other make shift shields. Some busineses such as the local bars made sure to stock their shelves. It would be a busy night for those who could not get home in time or atleast would be telling their significant others that was the case.
