As a child, I loved short stories. Multiple stories in one package! In middle school, I would bring home my thick language arts text book and read through the stories.When I received the Scholastic book order form, my mom would limit me to purchasing one book at a time. I would look for a book with multiple stories. Then I found a series called Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.
Last week it was announced that Guillermo Del Toro would be directing a film version of the series. It will be exciting to see an element of my childhood on the big screen. Plus, Del Toro is one of my favorite directors. However, I only hope that the film has better results than another series of my childhood. The one with the living dummy.
